Biography of Nikka Costa
Nikka Costa was born on June 4, 1972. Her birth name is Domenica Costa but she is affectionately called Nikka Costa. She is married to Justin Stanley, the producer and her songwriting partner, together they had a daughter named Sugar in late September of 2006.
Her father Don Costa is a legendary arranger and producer of pop music. Frank Sinatra, another legendary singer, was godfather to Nikka Costa. He was also a close friend of her father. Under the able guidance of her father and Frank Sinatra, Nikka Costa cut several tracks in her childhood, many of which have gone platinum.
Nikka Costa's musical genre is integrated with elements of blues, funk and soul. Her melodious albums include "Fairy Tales" {Cuentos de Hadas} released in 1983; "Here I Am... Yes, It's Me" released in 1989, "Butterfly Rocket" released in 1996, "Everybody Got Their Something" released in 2001, and self-styled albums "Nikka Costa" released in 1981 and 2005. She has several non-album tracks to her credit. She feels proud and thanks God when people tell her that she doesn't sing like a white chick.
Nikka Costa's MySpace page reveals that Nikka Costa is on the lookout for a new record label, since she is no longer with Virgin records. Amidst her hectic music schedules, Nikka Costa also did some modeling for lingerie.
